Duties:

  • Provide personalised care for patients with diabetes, focusing on prevention, treatment, and ongoing management.
  • Assess and monitor patients’ health status, develop care plans, and offer tailored interventions.
  • Educate patients and their families on diabetes management, including lifestyle changes, diet, medication, and blood sugar monitoring.
  • Collaborate with the multidisciplinary healthcare team, including doctors, nurses, dietitians, and other specialists to ensure holistic care.
  • Stay updated on the latest advancements in diabetes care, treatments, and technologies.
  • Offer emotional support and guidance to patients, promoting overall well-being and self-management.
  • Maintain accurate patient records and documentation in compliance with healthcare regulations.
  • Participate in ongoing professional development and training opportunities

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Nursing
  • Relevant certification or qualification in Diabetes Care (e.g., Certified Diabetes Educator, or equivalent).
  • At least 1 year of experience working with diabetes patients.
  • Strong knowledge of diabetes treatment protocols, medications, and the latest research in diabetes management.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Compassionate, patient-centered approach to care.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team.
